How critically do you analyse your favourite web series?

What’s your favourite web series series?
Isn’t that a catchy line?

Well the web series irrespective of their content are hooking to such an extent that people cannot even resist the drive to wait till the next episode is released; and to quench the thirst to know what happens in the upcoming episode, some are even compelled to hack in to systems to gain access to the upcoming episode way before it’s scheduled release.

The big question is:
What makes the web series so alluring and enslaving?

The answer to this question lies in its  content. The web series, unlike TV series, which you see in your television sets is controlled and monitored by the regulating authority of your place, but these regulations which are basically based on social values have its own effective limit and beyond which it fails to exist. The web series available on the Netflix, Amazon Prime or any other video streaming website are not subjected to stricter norms as it is with TV shows.

People are bored with the regular stuffs which is broadcasting on a daily basis through various TV channels.
People want to have a taste of some unique content which is different from others and has something special in it.
This is where the the web series has emerged as a content provider to the needs of people.

What adverse effect these web series are capable of?
Yes, there are a lot of good shows and series which every likes and can be viewed  by all age.
But some are strictly meant for people of a particular age group.
When it comes to violence. The scenes in some of the web series may be disturbing and therefore while viewing it should be kept in mind that it’s just a series and the viewer is not watching it as a real world event. Exposure to virtual violence served to the mass for longer duration may even make a person insensitive to the violence happening in the real world, or in even worst scenario; the person may even seek to witness virtual violence in real world which is not expected from a person belonging to a civilized society.

The virtual violence may even disrupt ones state of mind and therefore the viewer should be mature enough to distinguish the situation of virtual world and real are not always same. People need to understand what is being viewed in the virtual world may be partially right or may not be. They should be mature enough to critically analyse the content and then it’s upto individual whether to accept the content and believe, accept, follow or ignor it.

I can recall one of my friend who was very used to horror movies. Her daily consumption of horror movies did show up as an adverse effect. She started developing some sort of mental disorder and later she quit her engineering midway.
After regular checkups she became well but was unable to continue with engineering and then she dropped out.

Be careful what you see.

Therefore it’s very necessary to  carefully judge whatever is being viewed is just for a entertainment or does it may have an adverse effect on the viewer.
